Build With BCS

We're interested when several things are already true

Venture building is the exception, not the offering. When we build, we take a founding role in the architecture, contribute accumulated platform capability, and carry real exposure alongside our partners.

Conditions we look for

The problem is understood

Not sensed, not trending — understood, by people who live with its consequences and can describe what an acceptable answer looks like.

Real access exists

A credible route to the customers, operators, or institutions who would have to adopt it. Access is harder to manufacture than technology.

The system is the advantage

Defensibility lives in the architecture, governance, and accumulated capability — not in being first to a demo.

There is a near path to revenue

Something someone will pay for before the market matures, so the venture is not waiting on a future that may not arrive.

When one of these is missing, the honest answer is usually an engagement rather than a company. That is not a lesser outcome — it is the correct one.

What we contribute

  • Founding architectureThe system, its boundaries, and its governance model — designed once, properly, before it becomes expensive to change.
  • Accumulated capabilityIdentity, commerce, AI orchestration, media, deployment, and operating patterns already built and proven in our other work.
  • Technical credibilityThe ability to stand in front of customers, regulators, and investors and defend how the thing actually works.
  • Operating disciplineSequencing and trade-off judgment in the period where most technical ventures quietly lose their advantage.
Edge infrastructure operating autonomously

Commercial structures

  • Standard fees
  • Reduced fees plus equity
  • Revenue participation
  • Platform or licensing fees
  • Royalties on reusable IP
  • NewCo ownership

What we are not

  • A free development program. Building software is the expensive part.
  • An incubator taking a large batch of companies each year. Partnerships are deliberately rare.
  • A fit for an idea that needs us to supply the problem, the market, and the capital.

If the conditions are already true, make the case.

The venture form on our contact page asks the four questions we would ask in the first meeting anyway.
